Life

We have been crazy busy around the Z household.  We have had three showings for the house but no offers.  I'm ok with that.  I would rather not have to live in an apartment for 5 months while our house is being built.  John is currently (9:00pm) painting the deck.  He worked on it all day yesterday and said he'll still have to work on it every night this week.  Poor thing.

We took C over to see Tristan on Saturday.  She moved into a new house and it's really nice.  We hope they like it there.  It's a lot farther from us but it's worth it if she's happy.

I got bangs!

I thought this was so cute.  Lexi usually sits up here but he decided it needed to be his perch for the moment.

He's a big boy now and will only eat his banana the way that we do.

Such a cutie.
We are still doing really well with the night time routine.  I like that I still get to rock him to sleep at night.  He's so sweet when he says "night. night."  Then he snuggles up and I kiss his sweet cheeks.  I cherish these special moments.  I know very soon he's going to be too grown up for his mama's snuggles.

Stats

We had Christian's 18 month doctor's visit yesterday.  His stats are:

Height: 35 1/4 inches
Weight: 32 lbs

The doctor's exact words... "Well, he's taller than every other boy in America."  haha!  He was in the 100th percentile for height and 95th percentile for weight.  He's still Mama's Big Boy! :)

We have started a new bedtime ritual.  No more bottles! sniff... sniff.  We give him a bath, let him watch Mickey Mouse in our bed while drinking his milk, brush his teeth and then I rock him to sleep.  The last part is still not so great but at least he's not being rocked to sleep with a bottle in his mouth.

Exciting!

We have some exciting news!!!  We bought a lot and are building a house!  Yay!  We are putting our house on the market tomorrow and hopefully it will sell by our estimated closing date of March 2014.  Our realtor came up this week and staged the house.  It's so weird to have everything in different places but it did open up the rooms and makes it seem much bigger.  She also suggested that we paint the house so we're getting someone in to do that soon.  We have done sooo much work to the house and we're ready to get it listed and SOLD!

Christian is doing well and seems to finally be over his pooping issues.  He has his 18 month doctor's appt tomorrow and just in time.  He has another ear infection.  Poor bud.

Tristan is doing well and getting ready for school to start.  She decided that she doesn't want to go to her high school anymore so she is switching this year.  She didn't really fit in with the kids at her old school and her softball coach was not the best.  Hopefully she'll be happier!

My mom's b'day was last Saturday.  Happy Birthday Granna!

18 Months

Sweet boy turned 18 months old on Tuesday.  I took a monkey picture to track his progress.

1 month old

18 months old
The only way I could get him to sit still was to give him a fig newton.  He is such a big boy and has a TON of hair!  He's still having tummy issues which I thought was due to the teeth.  But now all of his teeth have broken through and he's still pooping 4-6 times/day.  I weighed him yesterday and he had lost a little weight (despite the fact that he eats constantly!)  The doctor just said to give him some probiotics but that doesn't seem to be helping.  Guess I'll give the doc another call.

Cuddle time

Eating pudding in the tub... b/c that's what people do.

Play date with some of the best friends ever!
He has his 18 month well visit on the 16th.  I'm looking forward to seeing how tall he is now.  He seems like such a big boy.

In other news: we have decided to sell our house.  We love our neighborhood but most of the kids are older.  We really want lil man to grow up in a neighborhood with tons of kids his age.  I'm going to be so sad to leave our neighbors.  They are GREAT!  Hopefully we'll have good neighbors at our new home!
